This model kit is based on Item 24338 Mercedes-Benz 300SL, with the “Full-View” treatment. The “Full-View” series features clear body parts which display the model’s interior and allow car fans to enjoy its beauty. The 300 SL was released in 1954, the production sports car version of a phenomenally successful racing prototype from 1952. It featured an elegant body with gull wing doors, plus a lightweight multi-tubular space frame. A 3-liter inline-6 engine pioneered direct fuel injection.
